Jalil & Co. (AF 0414) is a firm of Chartered Accountants that was established in 1976 by the late Tuan Hj. Abd. Jalil bin Ali. The firm is based in Kuala Terengganu with a branch in Shah Alam, Selangor and Kota Bharu, Kelantan, offering audit, taxation, company secretarial, business advisory, and support services to a wide range of businesses and individuals.

The Principal

Hajjah Adzlina Junita binti Abd. Jalil CA(M), FCCA, CPA(M)

Hajjah Adzlina Junita binti Abd. Jalil graduated with an Honours Degree in Accounting and Finance from United Kingdom. She is a Chartered Accountant with the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA), a fellow with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), and a Certified Public Accountant with the Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA).

She trained for several years with international firms Coopers & Lybrand and the merged firm of PricewaterhouseCoopers and was involved in the audit of large multinational companies and listed companies in Malaysia.

Besides audit, she has extensive experience in accounting and finance from her various senior positions in a public listed company, a government link corporation and an international accounting shared service company.

She is an Approved Company Auditor under Section 263(2) of the Companies Act, 2016 and an Approved Cooperative Auditor under Suruhanjaya Koperasi Malaysia.

She also sits on the board of listed company as Independent Non-Executive Director.

The Firm’s Founder

Haji Abd. Jalil bin Ali CA(M), CPA(M)

Haji Abd. Jalil is a graduate of accountancy in Australia and became an associate to the Australian Society of Accountants in 1974. Upon returning to Malaysia, on 31 December 1975 he was admitted as a member of the Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA) and later became a Chartered Accountant with the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA).

In 1976, after obtaining his Practising Certificate from MICPA, Haji Abd. Jalil set up Jalil & Co., an audit firm with a registration number AF 0414 in the east coast town of Kuala Terengganu.

Haji Abd. Jalil was an approved Company Auditor, approved Cooperative Auditor, a licensed Tax Agent and a licensed Company Secretary.

He provided auditing, taxation, secretarial and consultancy services to various clients from individuals and small and medium sized companies to state and government link corporations. He also sat on the Board of several companies including a public listed company.

After 46 years of distinguished service, Haji Abd. Jalil passed away peacefully on 6 January 2022 and his legacy is continued by his daughter Hajjah Adzlina Junita binti Abd Jalil who is the current principal of the firm.

Our Clients

We serve clients of varying sizes and from a wide range of industries including manufacturing, property development, engineering and construction, education, commerce, leisure, transportation, printing and publishing, tour and travel and hotel and tourism. We have also been appointed by the National Audit Department to audit several government owned entities.
